The studio has ~500 square feet of shooting space and has four 300ws studio lights, as well as Bowens mount light modifiers – all included in the studio rental fee.

4 hours rental – LKR 8,000

Additional time (depending on the availability) is at LKR 2,000 per hour, even if you don’t use the full hour.

Notes:

  • Refund policy: In paying the studio fee, the time is blocked out exclusively for you. This means that I can’t book the studio out to other photographers for the same period. Hence, this fee is not refundable and not transferable.
  • Makeup / setup & breakdown / wrap time count as studio time, and will be billed. Please remember to add this time when you plan the shoot.
  • Studio time calculation starts when the first person related to the shoot arrives at the studio (ex: model / client / photographer) or at the agreed start time, whichever is earlier.
  • Studio time calculation ends when the last person related to the shoot leaves the studio / at the agreed end time, whichever is later.

Studio lighting gear and backgrounds

  • Four 300ws studio lights. These are optically triggered so the photographer has to bring at least one flash to trigger the studio lights.
  • One 120x80cm Softboxes
  • One 120cm Octabox
  • Two strip softboxes with grids
  • Two large v-flat reflectors
  • Grey / White / Beige backgrounds (6×15 feet)
  • Two light stands and crossbar (length 7 feet) to hang your own backgrounds

Important guidelines for photographers

  • Do not remove any of the lights from the light stands. If you bring any additional lights bring your own light stands as well.
  • Do not gel the lights. If you want to use color gels please bring your own lighting equipment.
  • Don’t take studio lights outside.

Important guidelines general

  • The space is more suitable for fashion / catalog / bridal / portrait photo shoots.
  • This studio is not designed for video work. If you are planning to do any video work during a photoshoot please check with us first..
  • No pets.
  • No groups (ex: musical bands, clubs & societies etc.)
  • Please be extremely careful if kids are in the studio. There are ungated stair cases, multiple power cords on the floor etc. The studio is not kid friendly.
  • No shoots involving sand / glitter / confetti / shredded paper / powder / liquids / splashes / fire / any type of food etc.. If you have any questions please check with us first.
  • The studio space is not enough to build large sets.
  • If you bring any plants / decorations / props to style the shoot please make sure to take them with you when the shoot is done. Do not leave plants / decorations in the studio after the shoot.
  • Properly iron and bring the costumes in hangers when you arrive (we provide two large racks). This helps to save studio time. We do not provide iron / steamer and in case of a power loss the generator is not capable of providing enough power for iron / steamer in addition for the studio ACs and lighting equipment.
  • You (person who makes the payment) agree to leave the stu­dio and adja­cent grounds in the same con­di­tion as they were when you arrived.
  • The equipment is in good work­ing order, but we make no spe­cial guar­an­tee as to the equipment’s func­tion­al­ity or suitabil­ity to your intended pur­poses.
  • Please note that we do not have backup equipment in case of an equipment failure. Please bring your own gear depending on the importance of your shoot.
  • If for any reason agreed service(s) cannot be provided our maximum liability will be the refund of any payments received. If only partial service is able to be provided, the charges will be prorated accordingly.
  • Don’t take studio furniture outside.
  • Dam­ages to equip­ment and premises are your (person who makes the payment) responsib­il­ity and must be settled after rental period, at mar­ket value.
  • Use of the stu­dio and equip­ment is at your (person who makes the payment) own risk.  By hiring the studio and equipment, you (person who makes the payment) waive any rights to seek legal redress for mis­haps, acci­dents, and/or loss related to your actions whilst on the premises. We will not be held respons­ible for any acci­dent or injury caused by you or any mem­ber of your party whilst using the stu­dio facilities.
